Remington Premier AccuTip 20 Gauge 2 3/4" 260gr Sabot Slug Ammo 20496
Remington Premier AccuTip 20 Gauge 2 3/4" 260gr Sabot Slug ammunition is engineered for hunters who need accuracy, expansion and retained energy from a rifled shotgun. Remington SKU 20496, also identified as PRA20, uses a 260 grain bonded sabot slug with a Power Port Tip and produces a muzzle velocity of 1850 FPS with 1976 ft lbs of muzzle energy.
The Premier AccuTip sabot slug combines an aerodynamic Power Port Tip with spiral nose cuts designed to initiate controlled expansion across a wide range of impact velocities. A high strength cartridge brass jacket helps the slug retain weight after impact while the sabot design allows the projectile to take advantage of the accuracy potential of a fully rifled shotgun barrel.
This 20 Gauge load retains substantial velocity and energy downrange, making it a strong choice for deer hunting and other appropriate big game applications where shotgun slugs are permitted. Remington specifies Premier AccuTip sabot slugs for use in fully rifled barrels.
