Remington Premier AccuTip 20 Gauge 3" 260gr Sabot Slug Ammo 20498
Remington Premier AccuTip 20 Gauge 3" 260gr Sabot Slug ammunition is engineered for hunters who need accuracy, expansion and retained energy from a rifled shotgun. Remington SKU 20498, also identified as PRA20M, uses a 260 grain bonded sabot slug with a Power Port Tip and produces a muzzle velocity of 1900 FPS with 2084 ft lbs of muzzle energy.
The Premier AccuTip sabot slug combines an aerodynamic Power Port Tip with spiral nose cuts designed to initiate controlled expansion across a wide range of impact velocities. A high strength cartridge brass jacket and bonded construction help the slug retain weight after impact, while the sabot design allows the projectile to take advantage of the accuracy potential of a fully rifled shotgun barrel.
This 3 inch 20 Gauge load delivers additional velocity and energy compared with the 2 3/4 inch AccuTip load, making it a strong choice for deer hunting and other appropriate big game applications where shotgun slugs are permitted. Remington specifies Premier AccuTip sabot slugs for use in fully rifled barrels.
